The Mother Earth Reforestation Project was born in Portugal in 2017, from the URGENCY TO ACT, when thousands of kilometers of Forest, agricultural land and Communities were devastated by FOREST FIRES, transforming balanced and well-established Ecosystems into war scenarios.
Our focus is to raise awareness about Forests, through planting Trees , creating Food Forests with diverse species, imitating the Ecosystems and patterns we find in Nature.
We take care of common interests in a decentralized way and offer monetization services with Bioelements such as Trees, Bees or Nests , using Refi and BLOCKCHAIN DATA solutions .
Beyond Extraction, Here to Reconnection
The RMTerra project reinvents the relationship between humans and nature beyond extraction and exploitation.
We live in the Anthropocene, a time when the impact of humans on the global climate and ecology has become undeniable and a radical rethinking of values has become inevitable. That is why we strive to develop tools to reconfigure and restore our planet’s ecosystems .
We work to strengthen Nature's sovereignty, its wealth and power.
Our team is made up of professional forestry consultants and technicians, team leaders and Landscape and Permaculture designers.
We started in 2017, when several forest fires devastated kilometers of land, turning green and balanced terrains into battlefields. These deadly fires destroyed the habitats of several animals and plants, leading to the extinction of several species .
Our mission is to regenerate the soil and plant as many Trees and Bioelements as we can, respecting Nature's Natural Cycles and healing the soil in the long term, in a layered process with several stages of development.

RMTerra founder Pedro Marques , out of sadness and desperation, felt the intrinsic need to act. As a volunteer , he began connecting with people through social media and local associations, organizing reforestation actions and climate activism.
The project began to take shape and gain momentum and the need for national expansion was evident. To encourage local communities , educational material was developed encouraging individuals to take action on their own, to improve their natural environment and to restore ecosystems with fauna and flora through reforestation.
Plantation projects are primarily focused on restoring land devastated by wildfires , using firebreaks and agroforestry principles.
Blockchain & Web3 Technologies
The project met with a lot of resistance. The bureaucratic process of planting trees on public land was very complex and time-consuming. Therefore, planting on private land was the way forward.
As a result, 20,000 native trees have been planted voluntarily over the last 4 years.
Blockchain and Web 3 technologies entered our radar in 2021 and were the missing links in the project.
The motorization of the work carried out and digitalization were the perfect combinations to establish a bridge between public heritage and digital technology.
Our main focus and objective is to be completely transparent in a methodology that is advantageous for all species involved.
The non-profit organization EARTHCARE was created in early 2022, while several other partnerships have begun to blossom, such as with Kodadot, RMRK, Treedefi, Koenig Basis, Shokunin Network, and recently Digital Gaia .
In June 2022, we were named a finalist for the 2nd Annual NYC.NFT Awards for Best Environmental Initiative by an NFT Project .
Also in June 2022 we started our Data Grow Lab project, an Educational Hub and a place for SusTech experimentation.
We seek to open people's minds to radical approaches to sustainability and make nature's capacity for action profitable for everyone.
